Vikings were seafaring people from 8th to 11th century Scandinavia, known for their exploration, raids, and warrior culture. They spread their influence through exploration and raids across Europe, Asia, and even North America. They established settlements, traded, and conducted military campaigns in regions as diverse as the British Isles, France, Russia, the Mediterranean, and Iceland.
This is the type of dress Viking women once wore. The straps were not sewn onto the front of the dress; instead, women used turtle brooches to fasten them (please note that the brooches are not included).
The yellow tunic is worn by slipping it over the head; it does not have any fastenings.
